Get To Know Our Story

Location: Uttarakhand, India, specifically in the Devbhoomi region near the Lakhmandal Bhaironath Temple, located 20 km from Barnigad, Ban Ganga, Amrit Kund. The village mentioned in the story is Devla, also known as Devlagarh, situated within the Patti Khatal block of the Naugaon tehsil, under the Yamunotri region, where deities reside.

I was born in the year 2030 into the esteemed Pandit Kul Radyate family in the divine land of Devla, situated amidst the 52 forts of the Patti Khatal block in the Naugaon tehsil, under the Yamunotri region of Uttarakhand. This land is also known as Devlagarh, where it is believed that deities themselves reside. In this sacred land, two remarkable temples stand tall. One is the abode of Lord Chaleshwar Maharaj in the east, while the other is a temple dating back to the Treta Yuga, where the epic tales of the Pandavas and the direct or indirect presence of seven fairies and sixteen goddesses come to life. Here, one can even witness a temple with architecture resembling conch shells. If you are fortunate, you may witness the celestial chariot's arrival and the fairies' appearance in Devla village. This holy land, known as Devbhoomi Devla, has bestowed upon me the name Dinesh Dobhal, a name synonymous with the sun's brilliance.

In 2007, with the support of my colleague, P.R.O. Shri Omprakash Badoni of Gadhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam, I sent two officers on a successful journey to the Char Dham region, including the Yamunotri pilgrimage and trekking routes like Raddi Moriyana - Baukhnag, Kumali - Molthath - Chaundaban - Kharthath, Sarutal - Gulabi Kantha, and Dodital trekking. The officers' expedition was highly praised, and upon my return to Mumbai, they invited me to Fountain, a restaurant, for lunch. We enjoyed a delicious meal together, and they expressed their gratitude, saying, "Dinesh Ji, there is no 3-star-grade hotel like yours in your Yamunotri region after Mussoorie. You should establish a fine hotel there." They further emphasized that the real paradise lies in your Devbhoomi, under the guidance of pure oxygen, with snow-covered stones, lush vegetation, and organic food that can extend your lifespan by 10 to 15 years. It's a place where you can lead a long and healthy life.

Upon the advice of a Class I officer, a smile appeared on my face, and I made the decision to build a luxurious hotel in my homeland. I decided to leave behind the glitz and glamour of Mumbai and the life of air conditioning, opting for the serenity of my birthplace. The story reflects the author's deep connection to the sacred land of Uttarakhand and the inspiration to establish a hotel in the region, leaving behind the bustling city life. In search of tranquility and a change from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, I decided to spend some time with my family in the village during a summer vacation. By then, I had grown tired of Mumbai, and a certain incident involving one of my Sindhi business friends had left me in despair.

Once, my Sindhi business friend asked me to clear a container that he had received from his wrongdoer friend. Unfortunately, this endeavor resulted in a loss of around 6-7 lakhs for me. It was a significant setback, and I had to leave my job in the CHA (Customs House Agent) industry. In a moment of weakness, I borrowed some money from a kind-hearted friend who was as dear as a brother to me and embarked on a new venture. Upon his suggestion, I opened a retail optical shop with him. However, despite our best efforts, the optical shop faced losses, which was unusual in the eyewear business. I accepted the loss of 4-5 lakhs for the sake of friendship. But when I heard some harsh words from my friend, I decided to quit the optical business. I re-entered the CHA business, and with dedication, I was able to overcome the loss and improve my position.

However, the dream of establishing a hotel was still alive in my heart. During this time, I made a trip from Mumbai to Devbhoomi (Uttarakhand) with my family for a few days. On this visit, a surprising turn of events occurred. I received an offer to purchase the very hotel that had witnessed my marriage, solemnized with the sacred bonds of humanity, not material possessions. I did not take any dowry from my in-laws, as I considered it a sin to accept dowry. In my view, when parents give their beloved daughter's hand in marriage, it's like giving away a piece of their heart, and accepting dowry is against my principles. The prospective hotel owner had now offered me the same property that held such significance for me, and it felt like a divine gift. However, the price he demanded was beyond my means. I had to control my desires at that moment. Quietly, I returned to Mumbai, although my father-in-law was ready to help with a financial contribution of 5-10 lakhs. However, I had decided not to accept his assistance, as he had underestimated my abilities for the sake of family ties. I believed it was not right to use his money to start a private business. So, I experienced a silent struggle and eventually, the deal that initially seemed unattainable for me at 5 rupees, finally became mine after 4-5 years for 20 rupees. Yet, it felt good because this land and hotel became my own source of income.

I was content with my decision, and my spirits were high. I brought my children from Mumbai to Uttarakhand secretly, without even informing them. It was my discreet way of introducing them to the Devbhoomi of Uttarakhand. In 2013, the Kedarnath disaster struck, but we survived. In 2017-2019, I began a new project named "Devbhoomi Resorts." Unfortunately, the project faced a setback due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019. However, we bounced back stronger. With the blessings of the deities of Uttarakhand, we revamped "Devbhoomi Resorts" with modern amenities, transforming it into a 5-star property, making it the top-rated property in the Yamuna Valley today.

Our dream project now includes a journey through the Yamunotri Dham, Lakhmandal, Hanol, Gangani Triveni Sangam, Raddi Top, Baukhnag Trek, Devla Tourist Village, Sarutal Trek, Gulabi Kantha, Vyali Trek, and a visit to the divine shrine of Maa Renuka. It has become a famous and ideal destination for tourists to experience the rich traditions of Devbhoomi. We invite you to come and enjoy the hospitality of the gods.
